Day 3: Berkeley

Berkeley is a famous campus in US History, with free speech enshrined in its culture. During the 60's it was a famous rallying point against the Vietnam war and for the civil rights movement.

Home to over 30, 000 students on 9 sites, it is indeed an astonishing place, rich in history and beautiful architecture. Dalal found it "boring"as we did a tour of the campus, including its famous bell tower with sweeping views across to the Golden Gate Bridge.

KES again boasts the best dressed delegation (both girls and boys), leaving many of the American students in their wake.

The opening ceremonybegan with an official colour party entering with much pomp and then the welcomes and keynotes. Then it was off to committees until 10:30pm. The bus trip home was quiet and we arrived back to the Radisson at 11:30pm to a rousing "Happy Birthday" for Dalal with a huge coconut cream cake.
